Christopher Cook

New England weddings, photographed like every detail is the point.

I’m Christopher Cook, an editorial Boston wedding photographer based in Utah, and I travel to Boston and New England for weddings. I photograph couples as two distinct people, cover the full weekend from welcome dinner to morning brunch, and shoot a film and digital hybrid for depth. I’ve photographed a full wedding weekend at the Boston Public Library, from the welcome party through the hora, and wherever your venue is, I come early and learn the room.

Kind Words

“Chris went above and beyond the entire wedding weekend, photographing parts of our rehearsal dinner and welcome party just because he could. He was ruthlessly efficient, and I mean that as the highest compliment, and kept everyone exactly where we needed to be. Chris was an integral part of how smooth and joyous the day was.”

He is based in Utah and also photographs in Park City and Salt Lake City.

Do you travel to Boston and New England for weddings?

Yes. I am based in Utah and travel to Boston and New England for weddings. Travel is folded into your weekend, not added to your invoice as a surprise.

Which Boston and New England venues do you photograph?

I have photographed at the Boston Public Library, and I shoot the venue you choose, from a historic estate to a private home on the coast. If your venue is new to me, I arrive early and learn the room before the day.

How much does a Boston wedding photographer cost?

My Wedding Weekends start at $6,500 and cover multiple days, from the welcome dinner through the morning-after brunch. Every weekend includes an engagement session, sneak peeks within a day, and the full gallery in about three weeks.

Do you shoot film at New England weddings?

Yes. Fuji and Canon, digital and medium format film, with Kodak Portra woven through. Not for nostalgia, for depth. New England light, especially in autumn, has a warmth that film holds beautifully.

How far in advance should we book a Boston wedding photographer?

Most couples book twelve to eighteen months out. Fall foliage season is the first to fill across New England. I take a small number of weddings a year, so reach out early. If your date is sooner, ask anyway.
